Initially, ZK Fiat operates exclusively on Cardano, integrating directly into the Gero Dashboard Bank API. This allows users to link a traditional bank account to a non-custodial wallet and transact with fiat-backed assets on-chain — without exposing personal data to the blockchain or to wallet providers.

To enable this securely, Gero Dashboard partners with Satchel.eu, a European-regulated digital bank providing the financial infrastructure needed for compliant fiat integration.

Privacy-First KYC with Zero-Knowledge Proofs

At the core of ZK Fiat is a decentralized identity and KYC model that ensures no single party has access to complete user information.

How It Works

• User Completes KYC with the bank and receives cryptographic proof of verification. The user retains full control over their identity data.
• Wallet (Gero Dashboard) Generates a unique bankID for transactions but never accesses or stores KYC data.
• Bank (Satchel.eu) Holds and verifies KYC information but cannot link the bankID to the user’s on-chain identity.

This separation ensures:

• No centralized data honeypots
• No wallet-level access to sensitive identity data
• Full user control over when and how identity proofs are used

With ZK Fiat, users can prove compliance without revealing personal information, using cryptographic verification instead of data exposure.
